Amrinder's Research

“Biochar and gypsum have been reported to increase soil infiltration and facilitate groundwater recharge. This research explored these properties in the context of the declining Mississippi River Valley Alluvial Aquifer. Although the amendments did not alter soil infiltration and soil water content, we showed that gypsum improved soil aggregate stability while biochar improved soil aggregate stability and increased pore spacing for drainage.”
