“Better irrigation water management strategies are critical to ensure the sustainability of future irrigated cropping systems in the Mississippi Delta. I am focused on finding ways to decrease irrigation water use and maintain crop productivity using irrigation scheduling thresholds and cover crops. I look forward to producing research that will help producers increase farm profitability, as well as conserve and restore natural groundwater levels.”
