Amilcar's Research

“Nitrogen, water, and plant spacing geometry are key factors to maximizing corn yield. This study evaluates single and twin row patterns with different nitrogen placement methods in irrigated and rainfed corn fields. Single-knife placement resulted in the highest yield, but it is susceptible to large yield losses if clogging occurs. This downside risk makes twin-knife placement more preferable to the farmer in many cases.”
